Built for Every Junior Golfer
Long Beach Golf Camps was built on a simple belief: every junior golfer deserves expert instruction in an environment that feels welcoming, not intimidating. Whether your child has never held a club or is preparing for high school varsity, we meet them exactly where they are.
Our program is led by a college head coach who has spent over a decade evaluating, recruiting, and developing players at the collegiate level. That experience shapes everything: how we teach, how we communicate with parents, and how we help juniors see their own potential.
We keep groups intentionally small at 5 campers per coach so every player gets real feedback, real reps, and real improvement. We believe golf builds character, patience, and confidence that extends far beyond the course.

Alyssa Waite
Camp Director, Founder & Lead Instructor
Alyssa Waite is the Head Women's Golf Coach for Long Beach State and founded Long Beach Golf Camps to bring collegiate-level coaching, small-group instruction, and a fun, encouraging environment to junior golfers of all skill levels. Her decade-plus of recruiting experience shapes everything about this program: how skills are taught, how progress is communicated, and how every camper is challenged to grow. Long Beach Golf Camps is independently operated and is not officially affiliated with or sponsored by any university.
Lexi Nielsen
Co-Lead Instructor
Lexi Nielsen serves as Co-Lead Instructor at Long Beach Golf Camps and leads the majority of on-course and range instruction each session. Most recently named Head Women's Golf Coach at Claremont Mudd Scripps, Lexi previously served as the Assistant Women's Golf Coach at Long Beach State alongside Alyssa — where she developed the teaching approach and player development philosophy she brings to every camp session. Lexi brings extensive camp experience to every session, with a proven ability to connect with junior golfers of every age and skill level. She has a natural gift for making the game approachable, fun, and genuinely educational — whether she's working with a beginner picking up a club for the first time or a competitive high schooler preparing for varsity.
