Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1

What age range is the camp for?

Accepted Answer

Our camps are designed for junior golfers ages 12–18 with some previous golf experience. Players don't need to be elite or tournament-level — just ready to work on their game.

Question 2

Where is the camp located?

Accepted Answer

All sessions are held in Long Beach, California. Exact course location is provided upon registration confirmation.

Question 3

What are the camp hours?

Accepted Answer

All sessions run from 9am to 3pm. Please plan to drop off by 8:45am and pick up at 3:00pm.

Question 4

How many campers are in each session?

Accepted Answer

We cap every session at 20 campers to maintain our 5:1 camper-to-coach ratio and ensure every junior gets real individual attention.

Question 5

What is the difference between the 1-Day Development Camp and the 3-Day Performance Camp?

Accepted Answer

Both camps are designed for junior golfers ages 12–18 who have some previous golf experience and are motivated to improve. The biggest difference is the depth of instruction and opportunity to apply what they learn.

The 1-Day Development Camp is a focused day of instruction designed to help players better understand their game, sharpen key skills, and learn how to practice with purpose. Players will work on full swing, short game, putting, course-management concepts, and competitive skill challenges while receiving individual feedback from our coaching staff. Think of it as: Assess → Teach → Improve. Players should leave with a better understanding of their strengths, areas for improvement, and specific tools they can use to continue developing after camp.

The 3-Day Performance Camp goes deeper. The additional time allows our coaches to evaluate each player, work on skills over multiple days, see how they respond to adjustments, and help them apply what they're learning in practice, on the course, and in competitive situations. The three days follow a progression — Day 1 (Develop): understand your game, assess strengths and areas for improvement, and develop key skills. Day 2 (Apply): learn how to practice effectively, make better decisions, manage the golf course, and apply new skills in playing situations. Day 3 (Perform): put those skills to the test through competition, scoring situations, mental-performance strategies, and on-course decision-making. The goal of the Performance Camp isn't simply to help players swing better — it's to help them become smarter, more confident, and more complete golfers.

Not sure which to choose? Choose the 1-Day Development Camp if your golfer wants a concentrated day of coaching, individual feedback, and new tools to improve their game. Choose the 3-Day Performance Camp if your golfer is ready for a deeper experience focused on developing skills and learning how to practice, prepare, think, score, and compete more effectively. Players do not need to be elite tournament golfers to attend either camp — they simply need previous golf experience and a desire to get better.

Question 6

Do players need prior golf experience?

Accepted Answer

Yes — campers should have some previous golf experience. They don't need to be elite players, but the camps are designed for juniors who are ready to develop their game, not first-time beginners.

Question 7

What will my child learn?

Accepted Answer

Campers work on the full game: full-swing development, short game (chipping and putting), course management, on-course strategy, practice habits, and mental approach. Sessions include skill development, application challenges, and on-course instruction when incorporated into the camp schedule.

Question 8

Will my child play on an actual golf course?

Accepted Answer

Yes — on-course instruction and application are part of the camp experience, incorporated into the schedule when available. We believe the best way to learn golf is to play golf, so campers have opportunities to apply what they learn in on-course and competitive situations.

Question 9

Does my child need their own clubs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, campers should bring their own clubs. If your junior doesn't have a set yet, please contact us in advance — we may be able to arrange loaner equipment.

Question 10

Is lunch provided?

Accepted Answer

Yes, lunch is included with every camp session. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions during registration.

Question 11

What should my child wear and bring?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable athletic clothing and golf shoes (or athletic shoes with good grip) are recommended. Campers should also bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and a hat. Golf gloves are optional but encouraged.

Question 12

Is there a dress code?

Accepted Answer

We follow standard golf course attire guidelines: collared shirts or athletic golf tops, and no denim. Athletic shorts or pants are fine.
